Christina Currie founded Lauer & Currie, P.A. with Mr. Lauer in 2012. Ms. Currie, realizing that most clients find the legal process to be extremely stressful, prides herself on providing excellent customer service and legal representation. Like Greg, Christina currently represents individuals in the following areas: medical malpractice, wrongful death and civil rights violations dealing with correctional medical injuries. Ms. Currie handles probate cases where the firms’ clients have lost a loved one due to medical malpractice and/or Civil Rights violations.

Christina graduated from Florida Atlantic University where she majored in Business Administration and minored in Marketing. She obtained her juris doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University. Christina is licensed to practice law in Florida State and Federal courts. Ms. Currie was appointed to the Fort Lauderdale Citizens’ Police Review Board in 2015 and has held the position of both Vice-Chair (2016-2017) and Chair (2018 to 2021).  In 2021-22 Ms. Currie served on the Police and Criminal Justice Review Board.

Christina is a member of the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE). Ms. Currie has earned NACOLE’s credentials of Certified Practitioner of Oversight (CPO).  NACOLE’s CPO Credential program recognizes oversight practitioners who have achieved a high level of professional oversight training and encourages employers and oversight agencies to financially support and encourage participation in these voluntary training programs.

Ms. Currie serves in a pro bono capacity as the Legal Advisor to the Board of Directors for the Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus.  Christina holds a Certificate of Qualification which was issued to her by the National Committee of Accreditation for the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2023.
